Céline G. Lapointe

Biography

Céline Lapointe was born in Québec City in 1945. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree Major in Art History and a minor in Graphic Arts from Laval University in Quebec. From 1974 to 1990, she attended various workshops in drawing,  resin techniques, concrete, large stone cutting and lost wax sculpture. In 1992, she attended a marble cutting workshop in Pietra-santa, Italy. In 1993 and 1994 she trained at the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Oronsko, Poland. Since 1974, She has participated in exhibitions in Canada and abroad. She expresses herself in painting and in sculpture of various media (metal, bronze, aluminium and varieties of stone) that, for over 20 years,  has permitted her the meeting of Humankind and Nature.
